In House Labaratory

Modern engineering and technology allows us to perform in the hospital, many of the tests we formerly had to send to a centralised laboratory service.

In our microbiology laboratory, Angela grows bacteria sampled from patients, and identifies which antibiotics they are sensitive to.  This helps ensure effective treatments are used, and decreases the possibility of antimicrobial resistance from overuse of antibiotics.
